Fire Risk Assessment

FRA Compliance undertake totally independent fire risk assessments throughout all areas of Devon & Cornwall in accordance with nationally recognised standards.

Paul - FRA Compliance | Carrying out a Fire Risk Assessment

A Fire Risk Assessment is the foundation of any fire safety management process for most types of buildings used as a place of work, or residential buildings made up of more than a single dwelling.

In order to ensure you fulfil your legal obligations and comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, FRA Compliance will on a mutually agreed day and time complete a full site inspection of your premises, which will enable us to gain an overview of your current systems and practices, and to assess your current site policies, procedures, and management records.

With all the information gained from the site visit, we will then produce for you a fully compliant fire risk assessment report as required under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order. Your report will be comprehensive yet totally transparent clearly highlighting all noted, fire safety concerns and hazards and the means for their elimination or control.

Your report will record any significant findings indicating the severity and urgency and indication of time scale in which each action should be completed. The objective of the action plan is to set out measures that will ensure that the fire risk is reduced to, or maintained at, a tolerable level.

A 12-month on-going support service is always available to our clients as part of the assessment fee, as we believe that a proactive approach to fire safety is essential.

FRA Compliance - Fire Risk Assessments and Fire Door Inspections, Devon and Cornwall

At FRA Compliance, we recognise that understanding and adhering to fire safety regulations in the UK is not merely a legal requirement but a critical responsibility for the safety of all occupants.

Our approach focuses on the key principles outlined in the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005, ensuring that the designated responsible person for fire safety within your organisation is fully equipped to manage potential risks.

Our comprehensive fire risk register acts as a central element in this process, highlighting the specific obligations under the BS 9999 fire code and tailored to your unique circumstances.

By conducting an in-depth fire risk assessment, we empower you to identify hazards proactively and implement effective strategies to mitigate risks, ultimately creating a safer environment for everyone involved.

BE AWARE…

If you do not have a fire risk assessment and, specifically do not have the proper fire safety precautions in place, the penalty is prosecution that could result in either a hefty fine, or imprisonment in extreme cases.
