Fire Safety Awareness Course
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, business owners have a legal obligation to provide all employees (paid or unpaid) with adequate fire safety awareness training.
Aim of the course
- To enable your staff to understand the nature of fire and how it begins.
- To enable them to understand the different ways fire can spread.
- To teach them how to effectively use fire extinguishers.
- To ensure they know what they are expected to do in the event of a fire, during an evacuation procedure and what to do if they are unable to escape.
- What actions they can take to prevent a fire from starting.
Certificates are issued to each delegate attending the course, for their training records.
Fire Warden Course
This course aims to provide staff with the valuable skills and confidence needed in the event of a fire emergency. This course is appropriate for workplace employees and managers who have been designated by the person with responsibility for workplace activities, to assist them in implementing the necessary fire safety arrangements as identified by the manager to prevent a fire from endangering the health and safety of occupants and other relevant person for whom a duty of care is held.
Fire Wardens play an important role in ensuring the continuity of the workplace and therefore, should be adequately trained and fully prepared should there ever be a fire emergency.

- To explain the Role and Responsibilities of a Fire Warden
- To explain the preventative and reactive roles of a Fire Warden
- The importance of raising awareness with other staff in regard to the fire hazards that exist within the workplace.
- To understand your organisations emergency plan for evacuation, the need for assembly and roll call at the adopted safe assembly point.
- A Fire Wardens daily, weekly, monthly responsibilities.
